It's been a busy few weeks. Last weekend we visited Saint Louis for our friends Eric and Sarah's wedding.
Thursday - After work we travelled to Illinois and had dinner and stayed the night with Mom and Dad Chapman. We played with the kitties and relaxed after a long work week.
Friday - We woke up pretty early and headed into the city for a day at the Zoo. We decided to skip the Budwieser Brewery Tour for this trip so we would have more time at the Zoo and then to relax once we got to the hotel. It was our VERY FIRST trip to a zoo together. We had a great time watching the animals and staying "warm" in the super humid Mississipi Valley. So our last exhibit of the day was our favorite the Penguin and Puffin Exhibit. It was an icey 32 degrees and full of the cutest arctic birds!
After the Zoo we took a short drive through Forest Park and visited the World Famous Jewel Box. It was so peaceful and a wonderful end to our day at the park.
Friday evening we spent rehersing and relaxing with Sarah, Eric, their family and friends at Dave & Busters. We had such a good time playing games and just enjoying time with eachother and our friends.
Saturday - We attended the wedding and celebrated with Sarah and Eric. The wedding and ceremony were beautiful and really a reflection of the couple. Once the new Mr. and Mrs. headed off for the night we went back to the hotel and relaxed at the pool and hotel with everybody. Then finished that night by falling asleep to a Monster Truck Speical on the Discovery Channel (we were pretty tired at this point:-)
Sunday - We woke up, checked out and headed to Sarah and Eric's for a yummy brunch before heading to Terre Haute for dinner with Mom Van Sandt and then home to Macabean.
We had a wonderfully busy and relaxing weekend.
This past week has been pretty busy. My car was in the shop having a cooling pipe replaced and we hosted a bridal shower for one my coworkers here at the house on Thursday. This weekend was one of our few "free" weekends since March so we have been relaxing and catching up on reading, computer games and Tivo.
I have pictures uploaded, organized and will try and throw them up here tommarrow.
Well... it's bedtime.... Hope everyone is well and had a great Fathers Day!
