OH! and how could I forget our family time! Last Friday, we celebrated my cousin Betsy's marriage to Nick! Congratulations Betsy & Nick! I didn't get any pictures because of course my camera batteries died, lovely. Then yesterday, a few of us ladies (mom, Aunt Joy, Dee Dee, and I) went to Race for the Cure in Terre Haute. For more on that and pictures see my training blog erikahatesrunning.blogspot.com

Our Busy Fall Continues
This past week I travelled to Washington DC for work. Shane and Macabean enjoyed a little "man time" at home watching movies, playing video games, and eating junk food. While I love to travel I have missed our regular routine and time together. We are looking at our schedule(s) to see if we can get a little trip to Brown County or the Orchard or both in the next couple of weeks. Until then, a few pictures of our nations capitol, me, and of course Macabean!
I'm doing my best Mrs. Chapman Goes to Washington pose from my hotel room window. And that folks is the view from my hotel room (and I didn't have to pay for it!). That's the Washingtin Monument in the back and the Williard Hotel (from Legally Blond II) to the right and behind me.
The Metro tunnel at the Bethesda station. I just love the mix of traditional and modern architecture! A group of us went to Bethesda (home of the National Institutes of Health - NIH).
The last night we took a moon lit walk around the monuments in downtown DC. Above is the WWII memorial. We also saw the Washington Monument, Korean and Vietnam War Memorials, Lincoln Monument, Capital Building, White House, and JFKs eternal flame from atop the Lincoln Memorial.... all by foot! Good thing I had a comfy bed to come home to!
Macabean has been helping me knit as of late... this was just the cutest! He sat on my feet for at least an hour while I worked away.
