Wow.. it’s been way to long since we updated. Things have been pretty busy here in Bloomington. The first week of October we got a new car for me; a 2005 Toyota Matrix. I LOVE it! And Shane likes it too!
The following weekend I went to Indy and participated in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Association Walk with Denise and the kids followed by a quick dinner with Melissa. Shane was also in Indy that weekend for Derek’s Bachelor Party. So one fun and super busy weekend!
The weekend of the 15th we celebrated the union of our friends Derek and Jennifer. They had a beautiful wedding and it was so nice to catch up with some old friends too! Shane served as groomsman and was just to cute in his tux! The following day Todd and Roxann stopped and we dinner with them on their way back home from a visit to Linton. So it was truly a friends and family weekend! Congratulations again Derek and Jen! We wish you all the best!
The next weekend we took a trip to Brown County… it was so beautiful. The leaves were just starting to change; so there were little flits of color through the deep greens. It was just absolutely relaxing. We had lunch at the Inn, went on a hike and even did some light shopping before stopping off for ice cream on the way home. You can see a few of our pictures in the album. I’ll try and add some more of the leaves soon.
In between all these weekends was pretty much the same old, same old; work. Shane has been overwhelmed (yep… overwhelmed) with new games to play, and Civilization 4 is the current “drug” of choice. I am in the process of registering to take a graduate class at IUPUI in the spring in Public Health. And… last but not least… Macabean has been Super Snuggly Kitty… since the temperatures have started dropping he has decided that he can’t get enough of us (actually just our body heat!).
So life is pretty darn good… Check out the pictures leave us a note and let us know you stopped by. We love hearing from you!
Love,
Shane & Erika (and Macabean too!)
